NDSCC Junior Development Program
The Junior Development Program is a new initiative of NDSCC to help Junior competitors find their feet. This program aims to encourage Juniors to reach their full potential.
What is a log book?
A log book is evidence of registration of an automobile with CAMS. It contains a description and specification of the automobile to which it refers.
Who needs a log book
National Competition Rule 150 states that "... entrants shall be required to produce at all race meetings, all State level Speed, Rally and Off Road events, a vehicle Log Book, properly entered and issued by CAMS... In addition, entrants may be required to produce a current and valid vehicle log book at other events as required by CAMS."
Applying for a log book
Listed are some of the steps for applying for a log book. Some of these steps may vary between states, contact your state office for more information before proceding with your application.
Things you must do before competing
Apply for a log book
To apply for a log book,
download
and complete the application form, and return to the state office. Your application should be lodged at least two weeks before the first event for which the log book is required.
Include two photographs (not polaroids or photographs marked as 'proof') with your log book application. They should be taken at 3/4 front and 3/4 back views.
Get your vehicle checked pre-event by a CAMS scrutineer
You must get your car checked pre-event before competing. Your state office will have a list of scrutineers that can check your car for eligibility before racing. A fee may be charged for the service of the scrutineer.

Changing log book details or owners
Change of Details
If you have changed your vehicles details as they are shown in the log book (including colour), you must register that change of detail with CAMS. To do this, download and complete the
change of Log Book details form
and return to your CAMS state office. You will have to include new photographs if you have changed the colour, signage, or body design of the vehicle.
Change of Ownership
When purchasing a motor racing vehicle that has a CAMS log book, you are required to register that change of ownership with CAMS if you want that vehicle to compete in a CAMS event. To register the change of ownership with CAMS, download the

, complete, and return to your CAMS state office. Note that the form needs to be signed by the previous owner of the vehicle.
